Prepared for the public competitive exams for Public Prosecutor from 1971 to 1973, and holds several specialised diplomas.
After working in company management from 1967 to 1971, José Rabionet fully entered the world of law when he prepared for the public competitive examinations for Public Prosecutor. Following this, he began to practice professionally as an independent lawyer. From 1974 he was General Secretary of the El Besós Manufacturers Group (now known as the El Vallès Manufacturers Group). He made a significant contribution to establishing this association which, with other members of the practice, he continues to advise and manage. José Rabionet has a profound knowledge of all aspects of companies, and as a lawyer he has advised and defended their interests before the Social, Civil and Administrative courts. He also has extensive knowledge of Tax Law. Since the early days of his career he has played a part in the formation of more than one hundred companies; he has directed mergers and divisions, intervened in major take-overs, and acted as legal director for numerous temporary receiverships and bankruptcies and legal proceedings of all types. He trained the team of lawyers who are now partners in the practice, with priority given to preventive advice and negotiation, without precluding litigation when this is absolutely necessary. José Rabionet is currently Director of the Bufete Rabionet and directly responsible for the areas of Commercial and Company Law and Bankruptcy Law.
